CompuServe/SpryNet has agreed to customize its direct Internet access service and Email capabilities to be compatible with the webPASSPORT™ device. In addition, CompuServe/SpryNet has indicated a desire to negotiate a broader relationship with AIM to include co-branding, co-operative advertising, sharing of content and assisting in the distribution of the webPASSPORT™ into retail.

To provide direct Internet Access for The Brief Exchange's subscribers, EarthLink Network, one of North America's largest Direct Internet Service Providers, has agreed to "private label" their service for The Brief Exchange. EarthLink will provide local dial-up Internet access, Total Access software, which includes Netscape Navigator 2.0, Eudora Email, a high speed dialer and 800 number support for all Brief Exchange subscribers.

As a result, the webPASSPORT is able to boast a bill of materials much lower than competing products, as well as a signifcant gain in graphical and textual (television quality) clarity over similar devices.
