Jane Bohan

Designer Jane Bohan notes wryly that she always used to consider rings one of the "most difficult and challenging creative statements to make" in jewelry design. "I thought I'd never be able to design rings," she adds, "because each must be a complete work on such a small canvas." But, no sooner did she undertake the challenge to develop a line of rings to complement her fledgling precious-metal jewelry line, they "quickly became half of my business."

In 1987, Jane won the Society of North American Goldsmiths' prestigious New Designer Award, showcasing her work to a much wider audience. Soon, Jane Bohan Designs had an ardent following, and Jane began to hire trained jewelers in order to develop a solid studio "home team."
